Cheng Yi 程頤 정이
(청이)
Cheng Yi(程頤, 1033~1107) was a neo-Confucian philosopher of the Song Dynasty. In his early years, he studied under Zhou Dunyi(周敦頤), one of the architects of Neo-Confucian cosmology, with his elder brother Cheng Hao(程顥). Cheng Ying 程嬰 정영
(청잉)
A righteous person of the state of Jin 晉 during the Spring and Autumn period. After Zhao Shuo 趙朔 was murdered by Tu'an Gu 屠岸賈, Cheng Ying rescued and raised Zhao Shuo's son Zhao Wu (later Viscount Wen of Zhao 趙文子). Having fulfilled his mission, he killed himself to report the success of their fight for the orphan of Zhao to the soul of Gongsun Chujiu 公孫杵臼, who had sacrificed his life for Zhao Wu.
Cheng Youmei 程惟美 정유미
(청유메이)
A Ming official. He received a Korean envoy who reported the Japanese reinvasion in 1597. 정유미(程惟美)
Cheng Yu 程愈 정유
(청위)
A director 郎中 of the Ministry of Rites 禮部 during the Ming dynasty. Seong Jun 成俊, Joseon envoy who visited Beijing in 1490, asked him the meaning of "elder and younger 伯叔." 정유(程愈)
Cheng Yuanzhen 程元振 정원진
(청위안전)
Cheng Yuanzhen(程元振, ?-764?) was an eunuch of the Tang Dynasty. In the early reign of Emperor Daizong(代宗), he was exceedingly powerful. As he killed or demoted a number of key generals and officials to consolidate his power, he incurred the anger of many powerful people. He was exiled in 763 and died in exile. 정(程)
Cheng Zidao 程子道 정자도
(청쯔다오)
A staff member of the Ming envoy who came to Joseon in 1602. He greedily accumulated wealth while he was staying in Joseon. 정자도(程子道)
Cheng Zihua 程子化 정자화
(청쯔화)
A messenger of Song Yingchang 宋應昌, a military commissioner 經略 of the Ming dynasty. In 1593 he brought Song's message to Li Rusong 李如松 that 60,000 Ming soldiers had been sent to Joseon. 자화(子化), 정자화(程子化)

Chenhao 宸濠 신호
(천하오)
(d. 1521 CE). Refers to Zhu Chenhao (朱宸濠). As a fifth generation descendant of Zhu Quan 朱權 who was the seventeenth son of Ming Taizu (明太祖) Zhu Yuanzhang (朱元璋), he inherited the title of Prince of Ning (寧王). In 1519, he revolted against the Ming emperor, but the rebellion was supressed by Wang Shouren (王守仁). 호(濠), 영왕(寧王)
