Emperor Yingzong of Yuan(元英宗, 1303~1323) was the 5th Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty and the ninth Great Khan of the Mongol Emperor. He was assassinated during Coup d'état at Nanpo(南坡) in 1323 by Temuder's faction. 영종(英宗), 게게안 칸(Gegeen Khan), 시디발라(Shidibala)
Yuan Zai 元載 원재

Yuan Zai(元載, ?-777) was a chancellor of the Tang Dynasty. Emperor Suzong(肅宗) promoted him because of his connection with the eunuch Li Fuguo(李輔國). He became chancellor in the reign of the Emperor Daizong(代宗). Afterwards, he helped the Emperor Daizong eliminate the eunuchs Li Fuguo(李輔國) and Yu Chao’en(魚朝恩) so that he gained the emperor's trust. However, he was greedy and took bribes openly, accumulated large sums of money, and formed a party to remove his opponents. Eventually Emperor Daizong put him to death in 777. 성종(成縱), 원재(元載), 재(載), 황(荒), 공보(公輔)
Yuan Zhen 元稹 원진

Yuan Zhen(元稹, 779-831) was a famous writer and politician of the Tang Dynasty. He played an important role in the restoration of Classical Chinese(古文). He was originally an upright official, but later he flattered eunuchs in order to get higher positions. He led the New Yuefu Movement(新樂府運動) with Bai Juyi(白居易). He tried to reflect political and social realities in his literature. The semi-autobiographical novel Yingyingchuan(鶯鶯傳) is one of his best-known works. 원진(元稹), 미지(微之)
Yuan Zhi 袁植 원식
(위안즈)
Yuan Zhi(袁植, ?~1130) was an official of the Song Dynasty. He came from Wuxi district(無錫) and earned the jinshi degree(進士) in 1103. When Jin troops invaded, he, then Inspecting Censor(監察御使), insisted on punishing evil ministers severely, but his policiy was not accepted by the court, so he returned to his hometown. 식(植), 원식(袁植), 사배(思培) , 재로(材老), 재세(材世)
Yuanyou 元祐 원우

Empress Yuanyou(元祐皇后, 1073-1131), later called Empress Dowager Longyou(隆祐太后), family name Meng(孟), was an empress consort of Emperor Zhezong(哲宗) during the Song Dynasty. She was the first empress of Emperor Zhezong(哲宗); however, she was deposed and restored twice. She also acted as regent twice, in 1127 and again from 1129 to 1131. 원우(元祐)

Yuchi Jingde 尉遲敬德 위지경덕[울지경덕]

Yuchi Jingde(尉遲敬德, 585–658) was a general of the Tang Dynasty. In the reign of Emperor Taizong(太宗), he enjoyed the honor of being one of 24 meritorious retainers whose portraits were on display at the Lingyan Hall(凌烟閣) by virtue of his distinguished service in war. 경덕(敬德), 위지경덕(尉遲敬德), 울지공(尉遲恭)

Yue Fei 岳飛 악비

Yue Fei(岳飛, 1103~1142) was a military general of the Southern Song dynasty who came from a humble family. He made a great contribution to defeating the Jin(金) forces. However, his attempt to push north and recapture all of the lost territory was opposed by the Grand Councilor Qin Hui(秦檜), and eventually he was imprisoned and executed by Qin Hui. He was granted the posthumous name of Wumu(武穆) by Emperor Xiaozong(孝宗) in 1169. He was granted the posthumous title of Prince of È(鄂王) by Emperor Ningzong(寧宗) in 1211. 무목(武穆), 비(飛), 악(岳), 악무목(岳武穆), 악비(岳飛), 붕거(鵬擧)
