Emperor Chengzong(成宗, 1265~1307) was the second emperor of the Yuan Dynasty and the sixth Great Khan of the Mongol Empire. He was a grandson of Kublai Khan. 성종(成宗), 원(元), 원성종(元成宗), 테무르 울제이투 칸(Temür Öljeytü Khan), 테무르(Temür)
Yuan Chonghuan 袁崇煥 원숭환
(위안총환)
(1584-1630). A military general of the Ming, a native of Guangdong 廣東, jinshi in 1619. After he was appointed commader of Liaodong 遼東 in 1622 from a minor position on the Ministry of War 兵部, he defeated Nurhaci at the Battle of Ningyuan in 1625, which eventually caused Nurhaci's death. He defeated Hongtaiji 皇太極, Nurhaci's 努爾哈赤 successor at Ningyuan 寧遠, Jinzhou 錦州, and Beijing. However, he was executed by the Chongzhen Emperor 崇禎帝 due to false accusations, which were said to have been deliberately spread by Hongtaiji 皇太極. 숭환(崇煥), 원경략(袁經略), 원숭환(袁崇煥), 원 군문(袁軍門)

Yuan Gao 袁高 원고
(위안가오)
Yuan Gao(袁高, ?-?) was a poet of the Tang Dynasty(唐代). He was upright and a man of integrity. Emperor Dezong(德宗) commanded him to write the Royal message announcing that Lu Qi(盧杞) would be appointed prefect of Rao Prefecture(饒州刺史). He refused and remonstrated against the plan with the result that Dezong eventually discarded the idea. He died at age 60. 원고(袁高), 공이(公頤)

A native of Wujiang 吳江, jinshi of 1586. He worked very well as the magistrate 知縣 of Baodi 寶抵 County, so he was promoted to be a secretary 主事 of the Ministry of War 兵部. During the Imjin War(aka Hideyoshi's Invasion), he came to Korea on the staff of Song Yingchang 宋應昌, military commissioner 經略 of the Ming expeditionary army to defeat the Japanese. He was told to present many ideas to Song during the war. After his military service, he safely returned to China. He was proficient in various academic fields, including geography, hydro engineering, astronomy, and military tactics. 원주사(袁主事), 원황(袁黃)
Yuan Jianlong 袁見龍 원현룡
(위안졘롱)
(?-1621) A Ming general. He became military juren in 1609. He was made commandant and then brigard cammander successively. He came to Korea in 1619, one year after the Battle of Sarhu 薩爾滸 and delivered an edict and 10,000 silver taels to the Joseon court. His mission was to recognize Joseon's efforts during the battle, although the Joseon army had been surpassed by the Qing army.
