He participated in compiling the Veritable Records of Emperor Shizong 世宗 and Emperor Muzhong 穆宗. Han Shizhong(韓世忠, 1089~1151) was a renowned general of the Song Dynasty. He came from a humble family and started his military career at the age of 18. In the reign of Emperor Huizong(徽宗), he made a great contribution in suppressing the Rebellion of Fang La(方臘) and defeating the Jin(金). However, his attempt to push north and recapture North China was opposed by the Grand Councilor Qin Hui(秦檜).
