Gao Liang 高亮 고량
(가오량)
A Chinese interpreter of Jurchen in Liaodong (遼東) during the Chenghua era (1465-1487) in the Ming Dynasty.
Gao Linghan 高凌漢 고릉한
(가오링한)
An adjutant (中軍) under Ming Surveillance Commissioner (按察) Wang Zhongqi who was dispatched to Joseon during the Imjin War(Hideyoshi's Invasion).
Gao Lishi 高力士 고력사
(가오리스)
Gao Lishi(高力士, 684–762) was one of the most well-known eunuchs in Chinese history. He is often viewed as a positive example of eunuch participation in politics for his loyalty to Emperor Xuanzong(玄宗). Because he made a significant contribution to suppress the riot of Empress Wei(韋皇后) and Princess Taiping(太平公主), he gained Emperor Xuanzong's confidence and became very powerful during his reign. Late in Emperor Suzong(肅宗)'s reign, he was exiled due to the eunuch, Li Buguo(李補國)'s false accusation. He died soon after he returned from exile in 762. He was buried near Tailing(泰陵), Emperor Xuanzong's tomb. 고력사(高力士), 력사(力士), 풍원일(馮元一)
Gao Long 高隆 고륭
(가오룽)
A Ming commoner who was cast away on the shore of Tae'an (泰安) in Joseon in the thirty-ninth year (1544) of King Jungjong 中宗 of Joseon.
Gao Lu 高盧 고로
(가오루)
A native of Gaizhou (蓋州) of the Ming. He was investigated by the Joseon authorities to determine whether his moving to Sin Island (薪島) in Pyeong'an (平安) Province was by permission.
