A native of the state of Lu 魯. A disciple of Confucius. 악평후(Yueping Hou 樂平侯)
Yuan Keli 袁可立 원가립
(위안커리)
(1562-1633 CE). A jinshi of 1589. As Grand Coordinator (巡撫) of Dengzhou (登州) and Laizhou (萊州), he insisted on a punitive campaign against Joseon when King Gwanghae of Joseon was ousted by a coup in 1623. He was later promoted to Minister of War (兵部尙書) and junior guardian of the heir apparent (太子少保).

Yuan Luqian 袁履謙 원리겸
(위안루쳰)
Yuan Luqian(袁履謙, ?-756) was an official of the Tang Dynasty(唐朝). During the An Shi Rebellion(安史之亂), he was the Chief Clerk(長史) of Yan Gaoqing(颜杲卿), Governor of Changshan(常山太守). When An Lushan(安祿山) attacked Changshan(常山), he fought against the rebel forces despite a lack of soldiers. Eventually, out of supplies, he and his superior Yan Gaoqing were defeated and executed. 원리겸(袁履謙)

Emperor Renzong of Yuan(元仁宗, 1285~1320) was the 4th Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty and the 8th Great Khan of the Mongol Empire. He was the first Yuan emperor who actively supported and promoted Chinese culture after the reign of Kublai. Yuan Shikai 袁世凱 원세개
(위안스카이)
Yuan Shikai(袁世凱, 1859~1916) was an important general and politician during the later period of the Qing Dynasty and first official President of the Republic of China. In 1915 he restored the monarchy in China, with himself as the Hongxian Emperor(洪憲皇帝). Emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty(元世祖), Qubilai Khan(r. 1260~1294), was the founder of the Yuan Dynasty. He conquered the Southern Song and established Mongol rule over a unified China. He was the second son of Tolui, Chinggis Khan's youngest son and Sorqaqtani Beki, a Kereyid princess. He succeeded his older brother Möngke as Khagan in 1260, but he had to defeat his younger brother Ariq Böke in a succession war that lasted until 1264. In 1271, he established the Yuan Dynasty. He overcame the last resistance of the Southern Song dynasty in 1279, making himself the first non-Chinese Emperor to conquer all of China. 세조(世祖), 세조황제(世祖皇帝), 쿠빌라이 칸(Qubilai Khan)
