Han Qi(韓琦, 1008~1075) was an official of the Northern Song Dynasty. He came from Xiang Prefecture(相州) and earned the jinshi (進士) degree in 1027. In the reign of Emperor Renzong(仁宗), he earned a good reputation for defeating Western Xia(西夏) troops with Fan Zhongyan(范仲淹). However, after the failure of the Qingli Reforms(慶歷新政), he was demoted to Prefect of Yang(揚州知州). Han Qinhu(韓擒虎, 538-592), was a famous general of Sui(隋朝). He participated in Sui's conquest of Chen(陳) led by Heruo Bi(賀若弼) in 588 CE. He crossed the Yangtze River at Caishi (采石), and captured the Chen capital, Jinling(金陵) and Houzhu of the Chen(陳後主).
