Du Yuanying(杜元穎, 769-832), a jinshi and a native of Capital commandery(京兆), was an official of the Tang Dynasty. He was a descendant of Du Ruhui(杜如晦), one of the most celebrated chancellors of the Tang Dynasty. Later, he was sent to Shuchuan(蜀川) to defend it against Nan Zhao(南詔), but he failed to do so.
