Chen Xuanli 陳玄禮 진현례
(천쉬안리)
Chen Xuanli(陳玄禮, ?-?) was a general of the Tang Dynasty. He took part in the coup of Li Longji(李隆基, the future Emperor Xuanzong(玄宗)) against Empress Wei(韋后) and Princess Anle(安樂公主). After Xuanzong came to throne, he served as royal palace guard. During the An Shi Rebellion(安史之亂), he escorted the emperor when he escaped to the State of Shu(蜀) and recommended that Xuanzong put the Imperial Consort Yang(楊貴妃) to death at Maweiyi(馬嵬驛) in order to appease the complaining soldiers. 진현례(陳玄禮), 현례(玄禮)
Chen Yang 陳暘 진양
(천양)
Chen Yang(陳暘, 1064-1128) was an official and musician of the Northern Song Dynasty. Hailing from Minqing District(閩淸), he reached the position of Vice Minister of the Ministry for Rites(禮部侍郞). He was the author of the Book of Music(樂書). 진양(陳暘)
Chen Yaozuo 陳堯佐 진요좌

Chen Yaozuo(陳堯佐, 963~1044) was an official of the Northern Song dynasty. Born in Langzhong(閬中), Lang Prefecture(閬州), he earned the jinshi (進士) degree in 988 and reached the position of the Grand Councilor(宰相) during the reign of Emperor Renzong(仁宗). He was posthumously honored as Wenhui(文慧). 진요좌(陳堯佐)

Chen Yongxun 陳永孫 진영손

A Ming subject. He was captured by barbarians (perhaps, Jurchens) but escaped to Korea. The Joseon court sent him back to Liaodong 遼東. 진영손(陳永孫)

A censor 御史 during the Imjin War (aka Hideyoshi's Invasion). In 1594, he presented a memorial which concerned the Japanese reinvasion. 진용순(陳容諄)
Chen Youliang 陳友諒 진우량
(천유량)
Chen Youliang(陳友諒, 1320-1363) was the founder of the Great Han (Dahan, 大漢) during the Yuan-Ming transition period. He was a general under Xu Shouhui(徐壽輝), the leader of the Red Turban Rebellion(紅巾賊), but in 1360 he killed Xu Shouhui and declared himself emperor. He was a prominent rival of Zhu Yuanzhang(朱元璋), the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty(明). He was finally defeated and killed in the battle of Lake Poyang(鄱陽湖) against Zhu in 1363. 진우량(陳友諒)
Chen Youshi 陳有時 진유시
(천유스)
An Assistant Regional Commander 參將 of Lüshunkou 旅順口 of Ming China in the early 1630s. He participated in the revolt led by Li Jiucheng 李九成, Kong Youde 孔有德 and Geng Zhongming 耿仲明 in 1632 (Wuqiao Revolt 吳橋兵變) but was before long killed in the battle with a Ming force. 진유시(陳有時)
