A Chinese pirate who was active around 1554. 채사관(蔡四官)
Cai Wanguan 蔡萬官 채만관
(차이완관)
A merchant and native of Nanhai 南海, Guangdong 廣東. In 1644, he and his colleagues drifted to Jin-do(珍島), Korea while sailing for Nagasaki 長崎. The Joseon court decided to send them to Tsushima Island 對馬島. 채만관(蔡萬官)
Cai Xiang 蔡襄 채양
(차이샹)
Cai Xiang(蔡襄, 1012-1067) was a calligrapher, scholar, official and poet of the Song Dynasty. Hailing from Xianyou District(仙遊), Xinghua Prefecture(興化軍), he earned the jinshi degree(進士) in 1030. Because he became Secretariat Drafter of Duanming Court(端明殿學士), he gained the nickname, Cai Duanming(蔡端明). He also wrote the famous article, Tea Note(茶錄) between 1049 and 1053. His calligraphy was highly praised by Su Shi(蘇軾), and he was regarded as one of the four best calligraphers of the Song Dynasty. 군모(君謨), 채(蔡), 채양(蔡襄), 충혜(忠惠)
Cai Yong 蔡邕 채옹
(차이융)
(132-192 CE). A reputed scholar and left general of the gentlemen-of-the-household 左中郞將 during the late Eastern Han period.

A regional commander 總兵 who came to Gado 椵島 with twenty thousand soldiers in 1634. 채유(蔡裕)
Cai Yuan 蔡淵 채연
(차이위안)
Cai Yuan(蔡淵, 1156~1236) was a Neo-Confucian scholar of the Southern Song Dynasty. Hailing from Jianyang District(建陽), Jian Prefecture(建州), he was the eldest son of Cai Yuanding(蔡元定) and studied under his father and Zhu Xi(朱熹). 채연(蔡淵)
Cai Yuanding 蔡元定 채원정
(차이위안딩)
Cai Yuanding(蔡元定, 1135~1198) was a Neo-Confucian scholar of the Southern Song Dynasty, Hailing from Jianyang District(建陽), Jian Prefecture(建州), he studied under his father Cai Fa(蔡 發) in his youth and later followed Zhu Xi(朱熹). He did not apply for any government positions, dedicating himself to lecturing students. 원정(元定), 채원정(蔡元定), 계통(季通), 서산(西山)

One of the renowned persuaders during the Warring States period. Succeeding Fan Sui 范雎, another famous persuader, he became a chancellor 丞相 of the state of Qin 秦.

(차이중)
A son of Cai Shu 蔡叔 who was banished due to a failed revolt against King Cheng of Zhou 周成王. He was first appointed to minister 卿士 of the state of Lu 魯. As he gained a good reputation, he was enfeoffed in Cai 蔡 following his banished father. 중(Zhong 仲)
