Bo Yi 伯夷 백이
(보이)
With his younger brother Shu Qi 叔齊, Bo Yi was a paragon of moral virtue, loyalty, and idealism in early Chinese tradition. Being princes of Guzhu 孤竹, a regional state of Shang, they both fled to Zhou so that another brother could succeed their deceased father. When King Wu led his forces in conquest of the Shang, Bo Yi and Shu Qi remonstrated with the king for his lack of filial piety to his father and loyalty to the Shang. After the downfall of the Shang, they retreated to the Shouyang Mountain, and starved to death as they refused to eat the "Five Grains" of the Zhou. 이(Yi 夷), 청혜후(Qing Hui Hou 淸惠侯)
Bo Yi 伯益 백익
(보이)
A cultural hero in Chinese mythology who helped Yu 禹 control the great flood. Afterward, he is said to have become minister of animal husbandry. According to one version of the legend, he was appointed as successor to the throne by Yu 禹, but it was Qi 啓, the son of Yu 禹, who finally ascended to the throne. 익(Yi 益)

Bo Zhao 薄昭 박소

A younger brother of Emperor Gao’s lesser consort Bo 薄 during the early Western Han period. 부소(Bu Zhao 簿昭), 소(Zhao 昭)
Bodhidharma 達磨 달마
(보디다르마)
The first patriarch of the Chan Buddhism in China during the 5th and 6th centuries. There is little contemporary biographical information on him, and several accounts about him have become popular legend. 보리달마(菩提達磨)
Borjin 薄二計 박이계
(보르진)
(?~1627) During Nurhaci's period, he made great contributions in taking Shenyang, Liaoyang and conquering Kurka of the Eastern Sea. After Hungtaiji was enthroned, he became one of eight principle ministers and controlled Bordered Red Banner. In 1627 he participated in Joseon invasion and then defeated Ming troops in Jinzhou. 박이진(博爾晉) (만)Borjin(보르진)
Boyi Kao 伯邑考 백읍고
(보이카오)
The eldest son of King Wen of Zhou 周文王. It is not clear why he was not enthroned. According to one tradition, he is said to have been boiled by King Zhou of Shang 商紂王. 백읍(Boyi 伯邑)
Bu Ku 不窋 불줄
(부쿠)
A head of the Zhou 周 clan during the so-called Xia 夏 dynasty, who led the clan from their previous homeland of Tai 邰 to Bin 豳. 불줄(Bu Ku 不窋)
